You are the Architect of Your Life !

You can Improve every part of your Life  with your Thoughts! Or  you can destroy your Life with your thoughts. It’s important to remember that you have the power to create the Physical and Emotional Health that you desire by paying attention to your Thoughts. Your Thoughts are very powerful! I have always believed that you can change your Life by becoming aware of your thoughts, embracing Positive Thoughts and letting go of the Negative ones. And although it is true that you can’t control everything that happens to you, you can control your reaction to it. And that has an impact on your Health and Well Being.

Recently I have been reading a Book by Dr Caroline Leaf called “Switch on your Brain” and I wanted to share with you some of the information that I thought was fascinating.
The Book refers to the Mind Body Connection and how our thoughts directly affect our Physical Well Being.

~ Research shows that 75-98% of mental , physical and behavioral health comes from one’s thought life.
~ DNA actually changes shape according to our thoughts.
~ Research* shows that thinking and feeling anger, fear and frustration caused DNA to change shape.
~ Due to our thoughts and feelings the DNA responded by tightening up and becoming shorter, and switching off DNA codes which reduced the Quality of Expression.

“Quality of Expression” means how well our DNA does what it’s supposed to do and relates to which genes are turned on and off and how they well they work. All of that, in part, depends on our thoughts…   So when we say we feel shut down by Negative Emotions it kind of makes sense.
~ Negative Thoughts lead to Stress which affects the Body’s ability to Heal itself.
~ This can all be reversed by Positive Thoughts of Love, Joy and Gratitude.Becoming aware of our Negative Thoughts is the first step.  When you become aware of a Negative Thought, ask yourself if you can let go of it or reframe it. Sometimes looking for the Positive in any situation helps. Remembering things that you cause you to feel gratitude can also help you change that Negative pattern of thinking.  It’s very important to notice when you are engaging in Negative Self Talk or holding onto Negative feelings.  Just tell yourself to “Stop” and think of something that makes you happy or engage in Positive Self Talk…whether you believe it 100% or not. Positive Self Talk can be something simple  like thinking ” Everything is OK, everything is Fine.”  or  ” I am thankful for all of my Blessings.”  Positive Self Talk is very Powerful! And remember that giving Negative Energy to any situation, never helps and it can make you sick in both Mind and Body.

This also relates to messages that we give to ourselves… like…” I’m not very Sensuous.” Thinking of yourself as a Sensuous Person is all it takes to begin  to change that mindset…

Cool way to get ready for the weekend!

Costumes are not just for Halloween…Go Costume Shopping!

wpid-20151021_215313.jpgGo shopping for a costume, either alone or with your lover. Around Halloween, you will find a variety of costumes available for envisioning the possibilities. At other times of the year, you may use an online search, or go to a local sexy lingerie shop, or adult toy store. Spend some time exploring costume ideas. Think about all of the role-playing options. Do you want to be the “Sexy Schoolgirl” or perhaps the “Naughty Night Nurse”? Spark your lover’s interest by asking a few questions: “Which costumes turn you on?” “Why don’t you select a few things for me to wear from one of your fantasies?” All of this activity will open the door for future conversations.

After you find a few items, try them on. Either take your lover into the dressing room with you, or wait to observe his reaction when you step out in your outfit. Be sure to move very close to him to feel his response to each new look. And remember, your partner may need a costume as well to fulfill the fantasy! Perhaps he is the “Hot Fireman” who has come to rescue the Sexy Schoolgirl, or maybe he is the “Rich Private Patient” who needs a sponge bath from the Naughty Night Nurse. The costumes themselves may provide all of the fun alone. By simply wearing them, you will bring new sensuous dimensions to your personality, and your love life. Of course, you don’t have to wait for Halloween!

Tame Your “Monkey Mind” and Let Go Of Stress!

This is something that I learned when I was 20 years old while taking a weeklong Transcendental Meditation (“TM”) Class.  The concept of TM is to repeat a Mantra (small meaningless syllable) over and over to keep your busy brain, or your “Monkey Mind,” busy so that you can connect with your Inner Wisdom.  It worked very well for me, especially when I could be more disciplined and do it twice a day for 20 minutes each time.

As you practice this meditation, you may find it difficult to repeat the Mantra because your “Monkey Mind” will still try to get your attention.  When you notice that you are thinking of something else, you mindfully observe the thought, and then gently let it go.  By keeping your busy brain, or “Monkey Mind,” occupied, you allow other messages from your Creative, Intuitive, Right Brain to emerge.

You will also become aware of insights that arrive from your Inner Wisdom.  The feeling that I needed to do more yoga every day often came to me as a message from my “Inner Wisdom” when I did Transcendental Meditation.  Other messages that are difficult to put into words will come to you as you continue your practice.  Over time, the intrusive thoughts will diminish while you meditate, and more insights will come.  This will help you deal with Stress in a Healthy Way, and stay more connected to you Inner Wisdom.  So remember, it’s very important to take some time to tame your “Monkey Mind.”
