Magical Anti-Aging Serum with Essential Oils

I’m always looking for ways to look and feel Younger and Healthier. This is my latest “Lotion or Potion” to make my face look Younger, Healthier and more Vibrant. It is a new Anti-Aging Serum that I created yesterday as a Birthday Present for a close friend. I have been researching which Essential Oils help support Healthy Skin and there are quite a few.  I gathered together all of the ones in the photo above. If you do not have all of them… that’s ok. The ones that I recommend the most are Frankincense, Lavender, Copaiba  or Stress Away. All of those come in the Young Living Premium Starter Kit at 50% off! After you get the Premium Starter Kit all of your purchases will be 24% off forever! The other Essential Oils in  the photo you will want to add to your collection with time. The carrier oils that I used were Jojoba, Almond and Rose Hip Oils. Be sure to buy the Highest Quality Oils that you can find. For Essential Oils I will only use Young Living Essential Oils. They have farms all over the world and manage the production of high quality Organic Essential Oils from Seed to Seal. That means they choose high quality seeds, plant them and oversee all parts of growing, harvesting and making the oils. You can’t get any better than that! I mixed all of the oils in a small bowl and then poured them into little roller balls. You can use a dropper bottle or a rollerball of any size. I use little 2 ml rollerballs for presents. I give 2 of them, one for home and one to carry in your purse… in case of and Anti-Aging emergency.

All of the Oils below will help your skin in so many ways. Use your serum once or twice a day after you wash your face. You can use you favorite night cream at night or sunscreen during the day.

1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil

1 Tablespoon Rose Hip Oil

1 1/2 Tablespoons Almond Oil

10 Drops of Frankincense

10 Drops Lavender

10 Drops Copaiba or Stress Away

10 Drops Ylang Ylang

5 Drops Patchouli

5 Drops Carrot Seed Oil

5 Drops Geranium

5 Drops Present Time

Sensuous Essential Oil ~ Lemon

Lemon Essential Oil is amazing.  Without a doubt it will make you more Sensuous! I drink a few drops of Lemon oil in water every day. I love to add a tsp. of tart cherry juice and a bit of stevia along with the Lemon essential oil for a sweet treat… and tart cherry juice is great for your joints.  When you drink Lemon essential oil be sure to use a glass or stainless steel container.  This is because  Lemon oil will dissolve Styrofoam and break down plastic. When you use Lemon essential oil in your diet…the Lemon oil helps you detoxify.  It helps your body get rid of petro chemicals…and who doesn’t need that. You are the Architect of Your Life !

You can Improve every part of your Life  with your Thoughts! Or  you can destroy your Life with your thoughts. It’s important to remember that you have the power to create the Physical and Emotional Health that you desire by paying attention to your Thoughts. Your Thoughts are very powerful! I have always believed that you can change your Life by becoming aware of your thoughts, embracing Positive Thoughts and letting go of the Negative ones. And although it is true that you can’t control everything that happens to you, you can control your reaction to it. And that has an impact on your Health and Well Being.

Recently I have been reading a Book by Dr Caroline Leaf called “Switch on your Brain” and I wanted to share with you some of the information that I thought was fascinating.
The Book refers to the Mind Body Connection and how our thoughts directly affect our Physical Well Being.

~ Research shows that 75-98% of mental , physical and behavioral health comes from one’s thought life.
~ DNA actually changes shape according to our thoughts.
~ Research* shows that thinking and feeling anger, fear and frustration caused DNA to change shape.
~ Due to our thoughts and feelings the DNA responded by tightening up and becoming shorter, and switching off DNA codes which reduced the Quality of Expression.

“Quality of Expression” means how well our DNA does what it’s supposed to do and relates to which genes are turned on and off and how they well they work. All of that, in part, depends on our thoughts…   So when we say we feel shut down by Negative Emotions it kind of makes sense.
~ Negative Thoughts lead to Stress which affects the Body’s ability to Heal itself.
~ This can all be reversed by Positive Thoughts of Love, Joy and Gratitude.Becoming aware of our Negative Thoughts is the first step.  When you become aware of a Negative Thought, ask yourself if you can let go of it or reframe it. Sometimes looking for the Positive in any situation helps. Remembering things that you cause you to feel gratitude can also help you change that Negative pattern of thinking.  It’s very important to notice when you are engaging in Negative Self Talk or holding onto Negative feelings.  Just tell yourself to “Stop” and think of something that makes you happy or engage in Positive Self Talk…whether you believe it 100% or not. Positive Self Talk can be something simple  like thinking ” Everything is OK, everything is Fine.”  or  ” I am thankful for all of my Blessings.”  Positive Self Talk is very Powerful! And remember that giving Negative Energy to any situation, never helps and it can make you sick in both Mind and Body.

This also relates to messages that we give to ourselves… like…” I’m not very Sensuous.” Thinking of yourself as a Sensuous Person is all it takes to begin  to change that mindset…

Create A Sensuous Bedtime Routine!

img_20160205_233906004.jpgA good nights sleep is essential to being a Sensuous Woman… And for many of us Sleeping can be a challenge at times. For others it can become a Lifelong pursuit to have a great night’s sleep…

In my Book, “Be Your Own Sensuous Life Coach” you will find a page called “Sleep and the Sensuous Woman”  which will give you lots of suggestions of how to get better sleep.  I also shared that page approximately one year ago in this Blog… You can scroll down and find it if you want!

As we all know, sleep can be disrupted for so many reasons it would be impossible to list all of them here. But whatever the reason that you have trouble sleeping, there is one thing that you can absolutely do about it… Create A Sensuous Bedtime Routine!

Sensuous Bedtime Routines

A Sensuous Bedtime Routine can include just about anything that you want to do every night before you go to bed. Being consistent with a Bedtime Routine often helps us sleep more deeply.

A Sensuous Bath

Sensuous Essential Oils can be a great addition to any Sensuous Bedtime Routine. As often as possible I like to take a Bath with Essential Oils.  I use only Young Living Essential Oils due to .their “Seed to Seal” Promise.*

So I gather my favorite Essential Oils and choose one or two. I often grab a cup of Epsom Salts and a sprinkle of Sea Salt.  Then I use 3 -8 drops of my favorite oil or sometimes I pick 2 oils. I drop the oils onto the Epsom Salts and mix them up. Sometimes I just put the mixture into an old Jelly jar and shake. Then, in they go, into my hot bath. The scent from the oils in the hot water is very relaxing. Be sure to inhale deeply. Slow deep breathing also gets you ready for bed.

Lavender * is classic and well known for it’s sleep inducing properties. It’s also wonderful mixed with Cedarwood for a lovely night’s sleep. Be sure to use Young Living Lavender grown on their pristine Farms.

Joy** is a very Sensuous Young Living Blend that tends to bring a feeling of relaxation and romance. It includes Rose, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Bergamot and more. And it smells wonderful.

Stress Away ** is yet another Young Living Blend that has always been one of my favorites. It is relaxing any time of day and especially calming in a hot bath. It smells yummy and contains Vanilla, Lime, Cedarwood, Lavender and more.

After my Sensuous Bath I rinse off my face and pat it dry. I put a drop or two of Frankincense* in the palm of my hand and then rub the palms of my hands together and Press my hands onto my face very gently. After that, I cup my hands over my nose and inhale deeply.

I also have a small spray bottle of Lavender or Stress Away mixed with water that I use to  spray on my pillow. I make my spray with a few drops of oil and filtered or spring water.

Then I put some oil on my feet. In the winter I use Thieves to boost my immunity, or Stress Away or Lavender. Sometimes I put socks on to keep my tootsies warm.

And if I’m having a really restless night I put my diffuser on with Lavender and Orange or Cedarwood.

With this sort of routine you are pretty much guaranteed a Sensuous Night’s Sleep !  It’s fun to Create your own unique Sensuous Bedtime Routine.

Sensuous Feet ~ Find a Podiatrist to Love!

wpid-img_20150927_100740805.jpgIn order to be a Sensuous Woman or a Sensuous Man you must be aware of your Body and how it feels.  Developing an awareness of how your Body feels and an understanding of what it needs will help you keep it Healthy and Feeling Good… and that will make you more Sensuous and Sexy. A Sensuous Person understands the importance of nurturing the Body and taking care of any needs. Keeping our feet Happy and Healthy is critical to our overall well-being.

And believe it or not, no matter how old you are, you need to start thinking about keeping your feet Happy.

It is difficult or impossible to feel Sensuous if your feet hurt… And  75% of Americans will have foot problems at one time or another. In an average day of walking, we put hundreds of tons of impact on our feet. They need our help.

In each foot, there are 26 Bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments and 19 muscles.  There is a lot going on in our feet and we need to pay attention to them if we want to stay Sexy, Sensuous and Healthy.

And as we age… things get even worse and it is more critical to figure out what is going on… the sooner the better. We all abuse our feet. High heels or other shoes that we stuff our feet into can do damage. Shoes with no support or stability are just as bad.

A few facts about aging feet.

Foot size increases ½ size every 10 years after 40. (I think that this happens much sooner.)

Tendons and Ligaments lose their elasticity which causes a flattening of the feet.

Increased force over time causes Fat Pads that cushion the bottom of the foot to thin.

And even if you get fatter, the Fat Pads in your feet get thinner.

Foot flattening can mess with your Big toe making it more likely to rub on the top of your shoe.

Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and Diabetes can cause lots of other foot problems.

Bunions, Calluses, Toe Nail issues, Joint Malfunctions, Heel pain and Knee and Hip problems are a few other issues that you may have to deal with that are related to feet not being happy.

Unstable feet cause Falls.

Foot pain makes it very difficult to feel Sexy and Sensuous.

All of these things can cause you to lose your Youthful Bounce and the Spring in your Step. So what can you do. I believe that there is a lot you can do no matter where you are in Life. Paying attention to how your feet are doing is key and giving them the love and attention they deserve is vital.

Wearing comfortable shoes that have good support as often as possible is the best thing you can do for your feet. You may need to purchase a new pair of shoes that let your toes wiggle and your feet breathe. Next, you will need to determine if you need arch support or cushioning.  You may want to start by looking at shoe inserts that are available online or at your local shoe store or pharmacy. There are lots of options for shoe inserts that cushion and support your feet. If none of these inserts work for you… I highly recommend that you see a Podiatrist and have custom shoe inserts made. They are made exactly to take care of the needs of your feet. They will bring back that sexy bounce in your step and give you more energy.

I am always searching for great shoes that make me feel bouncy and energetic.

Get Naked in the Rain!

wpid-img_20150705_093627424.jpgGo out in the Rain and get wet! On a warm Summer night, when it’s Raining . . . figure out a way to get out in the Rain as naked as possible. It’s especially fun if you do this when it is Raining very hard. So, the next time you hear a hard Rain, run outside so you don’t miss it. (Don’t go out in a thunder and lightning storm . . . of course.)

 

Once you are outside, remove all remaining clothes . . . if possible. Then, as you are standing in Nature’s Shower, run your hands all over your body to enjoy how silky your skin feels covered in Raindrops. After the hard Rain slows down, find a comfortable place to sit. Spend some time becoming aware of how Nature enjoys the Rain. Notice how the Raindrops hit the petals of a flower, or fall onto leaves, and gently massage them. Breathe in the cooler, cleaner air, and feel the overall “vibe” that surrounds you. You can almost see the plants growing as the Rain washes over them. You may notice that Colors are brighter and more vibrant.

 

When the Rain stops, you may become aware of how calm and peaceful it feels. The world seems more relaxed and pure. It’s as if the plants and flowers are relaxing after their wild, Sensuous experience with the Rain.

 

When you are finished with your wild naked experience with the Rain, run into the house and turn on a Hot Shower. Climb into the shower as soon as it’s warm, or for a different Sensuous experience, just get into it when you first turn it on . . . As the shower washes over you, you can feel the heat of it pouring into your body. Use your favorite body products that are fragrant with natural flower essences. Stay as long as you like enjoying your shower, then wrap yourself up in a big, fluffy towel, or robe. Have a hot cup of tea, sit in a Sensuous Space, and make a few notes in your journal about your Sensuous Experience. You may also want to make a note of any messages that you may have received from your Inner Wisdom. Be sure to take advantage of hard Rain whenever you can to enjoy another Sensuous Experience with Nature.

Cook Naked!

Whenever you can… Cook Naked! Cooking Naked helps you stay in touch with your body. And being in touch with your body will bring out your Inner Sensuous Chef who wants to cook Healthy, Beautiful and Sensuous Food to maintain your Healthy, Beautiful and Sensuous Body. Go completely Naked or wear an apron if you must for protection…especially if you are a Passionate Chef…like me!  

Play Dance Music while you cook to set the mood for Sensuous Cooking. Choose music that you love… Music that makes you want to move. (I go to Pandora.com and choose Pleasure Victim)  Dancing while you cook will make cooking a more Sensuous experience. Moving your body rhythmically will get your energy flowing which will improve your Creativity.   And as you are cooking remember to choose lots of colorful Fruits and Veggies and don’t forget to use Herbs and Spices too!  They are all full of Antioxidants and other Magical things.  

I also suggest that you Eat Naked. Eating Naked tends to help you choose your foods and portions more wisely. While you are Cooking and Eating Naked … Be kind to yourself… And remember to say only Positive Helpful things to yourself about your body.   Here is a simple and powerful Positive Affirmation… My Body is becoming more Beautiful, Heathy and Sensuous every day!   Cooking Naked will help you stay in touch with your Sensuous Self. Do it as often as possible and use your Positive affirmation every day!
